Independent professional services group Praxis has announced Joan Johnson’s promotion to Executive Director - Head of Private Wealth and Corporate Services, BVI. The move forms part of the Group’s broader growth strategy for its BVI operation, which rebranded from Nerine in 2023.

Joan brings over 20 years of experience in professional services in the financial services industry, where her passion for excellent client service has resulted in high client retention. This promotion follows her appointment as Interim Managing Director for a six-month period from November last year.

Praxis Group CEO Rob Fearis said: ‘I would like to thank Joan for her dedication and leadership as Interim Managing Director, and I congratulate her on this well-deserved promotion.

‘Joan’s vision for the business and her deep understanding of our clients’ needs make her the ideal person to head up our client services, and I have every confidence that our BVI office will continue to flourish under her stewardship.’

In her new role, Joan will oversee the day-to-day operation of the BVI office and support the development of the Group’s BVI offering globally, beginning with an extended business development trip throughout September and October.

Joan said: ‘I am looking forward to this new chapter and catching up with my professional network in the coming weeks as I travel to the UK, the Middle East and Southeast Asia to showcase our services and the benefits of the BVI.’
