Leading South East law firm Thomson Snell & Passmore has appointed Alan Kitcher, Partner – Certified Chartered Accountant, as its new Head of Trust Management.
A qualified accountant, Alan joined the firm in 2021 from Charles Russell Speechlys, where he was Head of Trusts and Probate. He has significant experience and expertise in advising wealthy families on all aspects of the management and administration of wealth and asset protection structures. He has particular expertise in looking after high and ultra-high net worth family trusts and family investment companies, also regularly advising on personal tax matters.
In his new role, Alan will lead the firm’s well respected Trust Management team, working closely with the wider specialist Tax Planning and Probate departments, to advise clients on a range of matters including UK trust and family investment company accounting, administration and taxation, charity accounting and administration, estate accounting and administration and specialist tax planning.
Alan will also support the Residential Conveyancing and Commercial Property teams, offering advice on issues such as Capital Gains Tax (CGT) and the Annual Tax on Envelope Dwellings (ATED).
